Starting with the most recent release, ONOS has transitioned from a fork of the Buck build system to Bazel as the official build tool for the project. This talk will explore how Bazel has increased build stability, how the plugin system has allowed us build everything without modifying the tool, and how Bazel's external workspace feature has enabled us to begin codebase disaggregation. The talk will conclude with a brief demonstration of the tool in action and pointers for developers transitioning from Buck.
