Since January 2018, NOKIA Bell Labs has been contributing to the ODTN Project, which is a collaboration with ODTN partners to develop, experiment, demonstrate, and evaluate open control of optical transport networks.
NOKIA Bell Labs and Telefónica have successfully completed ODTN Phase 1.0, point-to-point T-API initiated photonic service setup and teardown between open-controlled optical transponders, and the demonstration was performed at Telefónica Labs; more details can be found at:
https://wiki.onosproject.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=27590874.
ODTN partners are now proceeding to Phase 1.5, namely to configure and control optical transport networks that are partially disaggregated, with Open Line System Controllers controlling the optical line components.
This presentation however will report some advanced results on the open control of fully disaggregated optical networks, including line components, developed in the SENDATE Celtic project.
