Stratum as a NOS enables the full power of P4-programmable switches, through a set of next-generation SDN APIs.  P4.org has defined a novel open framework called “In-band Network Telemetry” (INT) that enables collection of end-to-end real-time state across Virtual and Physical networks directly in the data-path. In this framework P4 language can be used in a natural way to express the kind of packet parsing and modifications required to insert the Telemetry data.   In this talk, we describe how INT and fine grain telemetry can be enabled in a P4 dataplane and managed by Stratum. A demo will be showcased to demonstrate end-to-end visibility and rich analytics in a stratum enabled network with a P4 program incorporating L2, L3 and data-plane Telemetry functionality.
