Trellis is an open-source, SDN-enabled, multi-purpose leaf-spine networking fabric built on white-boxes. Through intensive development and testing over the past year, Trellis has gained in functionality, robustness, scalability and performance improvements and it is now deployed in a service provider production network with hundreds of live, paying customers. In this talk, we will first introduce the new features of Trellis such as dual-homing, multicast, DHCP relay, pseudowire and troubleshooting tools. We will then give a few examples of how Trellis can be deployed in various environments to fulfill different use-cases. Finally, we will summarize the talk and discuss the future roadmap.
