P4 is emerging as a de-facto standard for the definition of switch parsing and processing pipelines for fixed-function and programmable devices. Over the past few years, ONOS has been tracking enhancements to the language and improving support for the full set of features along with support for P4's SDN-ready control protocol, P4Runtime. This talk will focus on the subsystems in ONOS that support P4 and P4Runtime and provide information on (1) how to support new P4 programs in ONOS, and (2) how to leverage functionality from P4 programs from ONOS applications.
